Job Description
**Job Title:** IT Service Manager **Role Summary:** Lead and oversee internal IT support services for a distributed workforce, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and security requirements. Provide tier‑2+ technical assistance, manage productivity tools, device management, and drive automation and efficiency improvements while ensuring compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and related standards. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused IT support across multiple offices and remote users. - Lead Analyst and Helpdesk teams, communicating goals and priorities from senior leadership. - Act as a technical authority, troubleshooting complex issues and guiding technology adoption. - Maintain on‑call availability, including nights/weekends, to address critical incidents. - Ensure adherence to corporate security, privacy, and compliance policies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Align IT services with business goals and security standards in partnership with stakeholders. - Manage and administer enterprise productivity suites and device‑management (MDM) solutions. - Design and implement tooling and automation to improve user enablement and operational efficiency. - Monitor ISP and network performance; apply high‑availability/fault‑tolerance measures to mitigate outages. - Provide Tier 2+ support via ticketing system, direct requests, and on‑site assistance. - Support Security Engineering and Compliance teams with audit evidence and policy alignment. - Create and maintain internal IT documentation, policies, and knowledge articles. - Enforce computer use, information security, and privacy policies across the organization. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, wireless networking, and system troubleshooting. - Proficient with MacOS and Windows operating systems. - Recent experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) technologies. - Experience managing enterprise productivity tools and service‑desk ticketing systems. - Understanding of general database concepts and enterprise software solutions. - Ability to diagnose issues quickly, think critically, and communicate solutions effectively. - Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb and provide on‑site support as needed. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field **or** equivalent professional experience. - 7 + years of progressive IT experience. - Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL, CCNA (or equivalent). - Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001 (and preferably FedRAMP) compliance frameworks.
