Job title: Head of Business Transformation
Role Summary
Lead enterprise‑wide business change initiatives within Connect Plus Services, focusing on digital, IT, and infrastructure transformation for the M25 DBFO contract. Manage a 23‑person cross‑functional team and third‑party vendors to deliver a strategic digital roadmap, secure data architecture, and continuous improvement alignment with CPS goals.
Expectations
- Deliver portfolio projects on time, within scope and budget.
- Achieve defined CPS performance metrics and digital adoption targets.
- Maintain robust governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and steer the digital transformation strategy, roadmap, and portfolio for M25 DBFO, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
2. Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of IT systems, infrastructure, and data architecture, guaranteeing security, compliance, and scalability.
3. Manage a multidisciplinary team (Digital Delivery, IT Systems, Information Security, Architecture, Business Change) and external service providers.
4. Apply structured change management methodology across all projects, coordinating the Change Board to secure funding and approvals.
5. Report progress, risks, and issues to the PMO Director, Senior Leadership Team, and CPS Board, driving corrective actions.
6. Develop and enforce business transformation standards, tools, and best practices.
7. Collaborate with Finance Business Partner on digital and data budgeting, cost control, and commercial processes.
8. Engage senior leaders to secure accountability for portfolio benefits and secure data governance.
Required Skills
- Advanced program and portfolio management (MSP, Prince2, PMI-ACP).
- Proven delivery of multi‑million‑pound digital and IT transformation programmes.
- Strong change management, stakeholder engagement, and governance capabilities.
- Expertise in data architecture, security controls (ISO 27001, GDPR), and IT infrastructure.
- Leadership of cross‑functional technical and business teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Formal qualification in programme management (MSP, Prince2 Practitioner, PMI-ACP) or equivalent senior level credential.
