Job title: Senior Engineer, Cloud
Role Summary:
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. Lead the build‑out of AWS Landing Zones and expand infrastructure‑as‑code capabilities, primarily through Terraform, with supporting use of Ansible and CloudFormation. Drive governance, security, and DevOps best practices while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
Expectations:
• 3‑month contract to hire with potential extension.
• Lead end‑to‑end deployment of new cloud environments for a major client.
• Deliver measurable improvements in automation, security compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and configure AWS Landing Zones and associated security policies.
• Develop, test, and maintain IaC scripts using Terraform across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Automate platform provisioning and configuration with Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Define and enforce cloud governance frameworks, including cost, tagging, and access controls.
• Conduct security reviews and implement controls (IAM, VPC, VPN, DNS, load balancing).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Provide guidance to engineers, review code, and mentor junior staff.
• Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and stakeholders.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience (senior/lead level).
• Deep expertise in Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Proven track record in implementing cloud governance and security best practices.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (VPN, DNS, load balancing, routing) in cloud.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (or equivalent).
