Job Title: Front End Engineer (Remote)
Role Summary:
Lead the development of scalable, high‑performance user interfaces across web, desktop, and mobile using React and TypeScript. Own the end‑to‑end frontend layer that interacts with high‑traffic APIs, driving designs from concept to production while collaborating closely with backend engineers, designers, and product managers.
Expectations:
* Deliver production‑ready code that handles hundreds of millions of API calls daily.
* Own feature ownership and architectural decisions across the stack.
* Contribute to open‑source initiatives and maintain high code quality through robust CI/CD, testing, and documentation practices.
* Operate with high autonomy, moving fast in a flat, engineering‑first environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and maintain responsive React/TypeScript components and applications.
2. Translate UI/UX designs into clean, reusable code, ensuring accessibility and cross‑browser compatibility.
3. Integrate with backend services via REST/GraphQL, handling authentication, state management, and data flow.
4. Write comprehensive unit (Jest) and end‑to‑end (Cypress) tests to maximize velocity and reliability.
5. Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Vercel, AWS) to automate builds, deployments, and monitoring.
6. Participate in cross‑functional design reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
7. Explore and prototype new features such as AI‑powered content discovery, zero‑trust sharing, and next‑gen sync.
8. Mentor peers and contribute to growing internal training resources.
Required Skills:
* Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
* Experience building scalable SPAs and handling large data sets.
* Knowledge of frontend architecture patterns, component libraries, and state management (e.g., Redux, MobX).
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Vercel, AWS), API design, and version control (Git).
* Test‑first mindset using Jest, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
* Understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization.
* Comfortable with cross‑team collaboration, agile methodologies, and documentation.
* Prior exposure to mobile, desktop, or backend development is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer) are advantageous but not mandatory.
