Job Description
Job title: Founding Frontend Engineer Role Summary: Own end‑to‑end development of a large‑scale web platform built with React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Lead component architecture, performance optimization, and UI polish while collaborating closely with designers and backend engineers to deliver AI‑powered government contracting tools. Expactations: - Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready interfaces that meet UI specifications and product goals. - Own the frontend architecture, component library, and design system for scalability and maintainability. - Rapidly learn and adapt to the nuances of government contracting and regulated workflows. - Participate in customer meetings to capture requirements and validate solutions. - Work in a highly collaborative, in‑person environment with continuous iteration and delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain the React/Next.js codebase with TypeScript, focusing on performance, accessibility, and responsiveness. - Translate product designs and UI specs into clean, reusable components. - Integrate frontend with backend APIs and LLM‑driven services. - Enforce UI consistency across the platform and expand the component library. - Contribute to the design system and improve common UI patterns. - Gather and incorporate customer feedback into technical and product decisions. Required Skills: - 3+ years of professional frontend engineering experience. - Deep expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. - Strong understanding of modern frontend patterns, architecture, and state management. - Proven ability to write maintainable, high‑quality code and enforce coding standards. - Experience with responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization. - Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and building from scratch. - U.S. citizenship required to discuss controlled, export‑restricted workflows. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Nice to Have (optional): - Experience building Microsoft Office add‑ins or browser extensions. - Familiarity with Kubernetes, GovCloud environments, or secure deployment practices.
