**Job Title**
IT Security Officer (Artificial Intelligence)
**Role Summary**
A 12‑month cybersecurity contract focused on protecting an organization’s hybrid IT environment, including on‑premises, Microsoft 365, Azure, and SaaS/COTS. The role leads AI security governance, vulnerability management, policy development, and collaboration with IT and business stakeholders to embed responsible AI and secure architecture across the enterprise.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end security leadership for a hybrid cloud/on‑prem environment.
- Perform ongoing vulnerability assessments, security audits, and risk analyses.
- Champion AI security governance, assess AI risks (e.g., Microsoft Copilot), and embed responsible AI practices.
- Recommend, deploy and continuously improve network security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.).
- Create, maintain, and communicate IT security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Produce technical documentation and executive reporting.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to align security with business strategy.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and security audits across multi‑technology stack.
2. Monitor network and systems for security incidents; respond to irregularities.
3. Lead AI security governance initiatives, including risk assessments and responsible AI integration.
4. Design, implement, and manage firewall, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and other security tools.
5. Draft and update security policies, standards, and guidelines.
6. Prepare security reports for executive and governance bodies.
7. Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to embed security in product/service development.
8. Advise on ethical, secure, compliant use of AI and emerging technologies.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with experience in AI governance, vulnerability assessment, security auditing, and security infrastructure for cloud/on‑prem environments.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
- Proficiency in security monitoring tools, firewall configuration, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess business risks and recommend controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce technical documentation and present to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration skills across IT and business teams.
- Client‑focused, innovative, and effective in a team environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- College diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field.
- CISSP or equivalent security certification is preferred.
- Functional English: French preferred; bilingual asset.
