Job Description
Job Title: Data Scientist Role Summary: Design, develop, and deploy advanced data and AI solutions—particularly NLP and generative models—to drive predictive insights and actionable recommendations. Expectations: Own end-to-end model lifecycle from data engineering to production, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain ML/NLP models that transition from ad‑hoc analysis to reusable production tools. - Clean, transform, and validate datasets in Python, SQL, and R. - Design and train generative AI models using AWS Bedrock, Claude, Llama, Titan. - Create AI workflows with AWS services (S3, Lambda, SageMaker). - Develop Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems that merge search and generative responses. - Optimize prompts and fine‑tune model performance. - Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to translate problems into AI solutions. - Ensure AI systems meet security, reliability, and data governance standards. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Python, SQL, and R. - Strong foundation in NLP techniques and transformer-based models. - Experience with generative AI frameworks and AWS Bedrock. - Knowledge of AWS ecosystem: S3, Lambda, SageMaker, and related services. - Familiarity with RAG architectures and prompt engineering. - Solid data engineering skills: data cleaning, ETL, and validation. - Ability to convert complex problems into scalable AI solutions. - Communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty) are a plus.
