Job Title: Technical Data Analyst
Role Summary:
Analyze pharmacy eligibility and claims data to support a multi‑year transition to the NCPDP F6 standard. Produce detailed, audit‑ready gap analyses, collaborate with product and pharmacy teams, and evolve into a subject‑matter expert for NCPDP implementation planning.
Expectations:
- Operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Deliver high‑quality, traceable Excel artifacts and documentation.
- Provide defensible, auditable analyses that inform compliance, engineering, and executive decisions.
- Transition into an SME role, supporting subsequent story sizing, scoping, and roadmap development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Gap Analysis & Data Mapping** –
- Translate NCPDP F6 specifications into structured Excel formats.
- Perform field‑by‑field comparisons across partner inputs (e.g., CVS, Mad Impact, ESI CDL).
- Identify missing or mismatched fields, definitions, lengths, data types, and ambiguous elements.
- Document justifications and maintain complete audit trail.
2. **Planning & Deliverable Ownership** –
- Define comparison columns, assumptions, and logic before execution.
- Produce meticulous Excel gap‑analysis artifacts for compliance, engineering intake, and executive review.
- Present findings to pharmacy product and eligibility teams, supporting standard adoption decisions.
3. **SME Development & Future Support** –
- Build deep expertise in NCPDP F6 implementation lifecycle.
- Contribute to story sizing, scoping, SOW creation, roadmap development, and implementation planning.
4. **Stakeholder Interaction** –
- Validate findings with product managers and pharmacy services.
- Clarify assumptions and align on next steps.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (structured comparison models, custom layouts, data review).
- Strong understanding of pharmacy data, eligibility files, and claims structures (ESI CDL, PBM data).
- Ability to read and interpret technical file specifications, data dictionaries, and healthcare standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle discrepancies across hundreds of fields.
- Independent work ethic with minimal oversight.
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving for ambiguous or partially aligned data elements.
- Excellent documentation, organization, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of NCPDP formats (F6 eligibility and claims) is a plus.
- Experience with SQL and Python for structured data validation or automated checks is advantageous.
- Background in compliance‑driven or audit‑sensitive environments is preferred.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Pharmacy Informatics, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
