**Job title**
Systems Engineer (Levels 2‑4)
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and integrate command‑and‑control software for complex autonomous and robotic systems. Translate stakeholder objectives into structured functional/non‑functional requirements, define subsystem interactions, and ensure seamless integration of software, hardware, and system interfaces. Higher‑level engineers assume greater ownership of integration, validation leadership, and cross‑functional coordination.
**Expectations**
- Progress through Levels 2‑4, with increasing responsibility for integration, validation, and leadership.
- Manage end‑to‑end requirement lifecycle and support architecture discussions.
- Participate in validation activities (HIL, FAT, SAT) and field support, traveling up to 10 %.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Requirements Development**: gather and analyze product goals, translate into detailed functional/non‑functional requirements, maintain traceability, create interface control documents.
- **Compliance & Standards**: ensure requirements meet ISO/IEC, functional safety, and internal compliance.
- **Software & Integration**: develop subsystem‑level software, validate integrations in Windows environments, ensure communication via REST/gRPC/MQTT.
- **Architecture & Design**: contribute to system architecture discussions, support conceptual design, evaluate new features, estimate effort and scope.
- **Validation & Testing**: conduct HIL testing, simulations, automated validation, support FAT/SAT, troubleshoot integration issues.
- **Documentation & Communication**: document requirements, decisions, and design rationale in Confluence/Agile tools; communicate system impacts to stakeholders.
- **Business Development Support**: contribute to proposals, technical presentations, and customer interactions.
**Required Skills**
- System engineering and requirements engineering experience (3‑7 + years).
- Proficiency with requirements management tools (Jama or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of system design principles, software development fundamentals, and integration testing.
- Experience with API‑based communication (REST, gRPC, MQTT).
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC standards and functional safety practices.
- Ability to perform HIL, FAT, SAT validation and troubleshoot hardware/software interfaces.
- Proficiency in Windows‑based software environments.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
- No mandatory certifications, but familiarity with ISO/IEC standards and functional safety practices is required.
