Lead Engineering Manager – Builders Team (Full Remote, AI‑First Startup)
**Role Summary**
Lead and grow a full‑stack development squad focused on AI‑powered product delivery. Own people performance, delivery quality, and cross‑functional alignment between product, design, QA, and operations. Drive process improvement, toolchain excellence, and AI integration to accelerate impact and reduce friction.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 4–6 full‑stack engineers.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain talent; define career paths.
- Prioritize, plan, and track product features and technical initiatives.
- Mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and arbitrate trade‑offs.
- Collaborate daily with product, design, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of scope and success metrics.
- Design, implement, and evolve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, security, and reliability practices.
- Integrate AI tools for automation, test generation, documentation, monitoring, and analysis.
- Create and iterate lightweight rituals and processes suited to a fast‑moving startup.
- Serve as the bridge between product vision, technical constraints, and team capacity.
**Required Skills**
- Strong leadership and people management in a distributed environment.
- Expertise in modern development practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability.
- Ability to review and validate AI‑generated code and contributions from other developers.
- Solid product mindset: understanding user impact, business value, and technical trade‑offs.
- Proven track record of delivering technical projects with a focus on speed and quality.
- Passion for applying AI to enhance development and delivery workflows.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional coordination.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications in Agile/ Scrum, DevOps, or cloud platforms are a plus.
