Job Description
Job title: Principal AI / ML Perception Engineer Role Summary: Lead end‑to‑end design, development, and field validation of the perception pipeline for autonomous defense systems, building real‑time vision, audio, and sensor fusion solutions on embedded platforms. Expactations: • 3+ years in robotics/embedded ML/CV. • Proven deployment of latency‑constrained models. • Fluency in Python & C++. • Strong CV expertise (detection, classification, tracking). • Real‑time sensor fusion (EKF/UKF). • Audio sensing & signal processing experience. • Embedded inference on Jetson, Coral, or similar. • Hands‑on sensor debugging and driver development. • Startup or fast‑iteration team experience. Key Responsibilities: • Design and optimize visual and multi‑sensor perception pipelines for speed, accuracy, and reliability. • Build and deploy computer‑vision models for compute‑constrained embedded hardware. • Develop audio‑enhanced drone detection and tracking using microphone arrays. • Lead data collection, labeling, and training workflows across diverse field scenarios. • Architect onboard fusion of camera, IMU, and audio for robust state estimation. • Bring up and integrate sensor hardware with custom drivers and embedded code. • Prototype, test, and iterate in controlled and high‑noise outdoor environments. • Collaborate with controls, embedded, and hardware engineers for full system functionality. • Create internal tools for logging, replay, visualization, and real‑time diagnostics. • Shape the perception roadmap and influence product direction. Required Skills: • Computer vision (object detection, tracking, classification). • Machine‑learning model deployment in resource‑constrained settings. • Sensor fusion (camera, IMU) using EKF/UKF or equivalents. • Audio signal processing and acoustic localization. • Embedded inference platforms (NVIDIA Jetson, Coral, etc.). • Python and C++ programming for prototyping and embedded development. • Data pipeline design and labeling tooling. • Hardware debugging, driver development, and system tuning. • Agile, startup‑style rapid iteration mindset.
