Job Description
Job Title: Financial Controller (M/F) Role Summary: Manage the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring accurate and compliant financial data. Lead internal control improvements, coordinate with accounting and audit teams, oversee credit recovery processes, and drive digitalisation initiatives while managing a finance team. Expectations: Minimum 5–6 years experience in financial accounting or audit, Bachelor’s +5 in Accounting or Finance, prior audit firm or accounting practice exposure, rigorous, analytical, adaptable, and able to lead a small finance team. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles. - Produce monthly and annual financial reports with variance analysis, key metrics, and profitability insights. - Design, implement, and refine internal control frameworks to enhance data reliability. - Collaborate with the group accounting department on debt recovery, receivables monitoring, and related processes. - Liaise with external stakeholders (auditors, statutory bodies) and coordinate external audit procedures. - Support month‑end close, consolidation of financial data, and inter‑company reconciliations. - Assist the Administration & Finance Manager with strategic analysis and operational financial monitoring. - Lead continuous improvement and digitalisation projects (BI dashboards, ERP modules, reporting tools). - Provide financial guidance to operational units for decision‑making. - Hire, coach, and supervise a finance team, overseeing performance and service delivery. Required Skills: - Advanced Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, VBA). - Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense). - Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis capabilities. - Expertise in internal control, audit principles, and financial consolidation. - Credit management and receivables recovery knowledge. - Proficiency with ERP systems and financial software. - Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills. - Project management and digitalisation mindset. - Team leadership and talent development. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s +5 (Master level) in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing. - Professional audit or accounting qualification preferred (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CCA, CFA).
