Job Description

**Job Title** Software Engineer Internship **Role Summary** An internship position where you will join a cross‑functional squad to design, develop, and deploy technically sound features for a large, high‑impact platform. You will collaborate with senior, mid‑level, and junior engineers, work alongside product managers and users, and contribute to both squad‑level projects and broader guild initiatives focused on delivery excellence and system scalability. **Expectations** - Deliver end‑to‑end features within short delivery cycles. - Take ownership of assigned technical topics and provide value quickly to users. - Engage with continuous learning, pair programming, and agile practices. - Demonstrate proactive improvement of the product and engineering processes. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyze user requirements (US and France) and translate them into technical solutions. - Develop backend services using NestJS/Node.js, REST, and GraphQL. - Build frontend interfaces with React, Next.js, or Gatsby using TypeScript. - Write unit and integration tests following TDD with Jest. - Manage code quality and CI/CD pipelines via GitLab and GCP Kubernetes. - Deploy frontend to Netlify and ensure smooth releases (5+ per day). - Contribute to guild‑wide initiatives on Developer Experience, CI/CD optimization, infrastructure scaling, architecture, and shared libraries. - Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing sessions. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for both frontend and backend. - Experience with NestJS, Node.js, REST, GraphQL, React, Next.js, Gatsby. - TDD mindset with Jest testing framework. - Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD, and container orchestration (GKE/Kubernetes). - Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Google Cloud), databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, BigQuery). - Exposure to GenAI tools (OpenAI, LangChain) is a plus. - Strong communication, collaboration, and user‑centric mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current student in a Master’s or equivalent (BAC+5) program at a recognized computer‑science or engineering school. - No specific certifications required.
