**Job Title:** Senior System Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Senior Desktop Systems Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure, Intune, Active Directory, and OS deployment solutions. Provides Level 3 support, automates tasks via PowerShell, and ensures security compliance and high client satisfaction across the enterprise environment.
**Expectations:**
- Lead and improve infrastructure processes for efficiency and user experience.
- Deliver reliable OS imaging, patch management, and security updates.
- Resolve complex issues in Azure, Intune, AD, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Support and mentor junior IT analysts.
- Maintain documentation and meet SLA/OLA targets.
- Participate in after‑hours on‑call rotation as needed.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer Azure, Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, BitLocker, BIOS, and Office 365.
- Design, build, and maintain OS deployment pipelines (RIS/WDS, WPE, MECM/SCCM/OSD, Intune, WSUS).
- Create and manage automated installation scripts and task sequences using PowerShell, Windows Host Script, and MSI packaging.
- Evaluate, recommend, and deploy workstation hardware (desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals).
- Monitor and resolve Level 3 tickets, applying vulnerability remediation and security hardening.
- Log incidents, provide status updates, and ensure SLA/OLA compliance.
- Produce and update technical documentation for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with software development, integration teams, and business owners throughout the application lifecycle.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365.
- Extensive experience with OS imaging and deployment tools (RIS/WDS, WPE, MECM/SCCM, OSD, WSUS).
- Advanced PowerShell scripting; familiarity with Windows Host Script.
- Proficiency in creating deployment packages using Task Sequencing and MSI.
- Strong troubleshooting of Windows OS, security policies, and cloud services.
- Knowledge of hardware evaluation and deployment.
- Ability to perform QA/testing for client/server and web applications.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field **or** equivalent education/experience.
- 10+ years of experience managing Microsoft Azure, Intune, and related cloud technologies.
- Minimum 5 years in OS image creation and support for enterprise workstations/servers.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, SCCM/Intune certifications) preferred.
