Job Description
**Job title** Railway Safety Engineer (High/Low Voltage Traction) **Role Summary** Provide technical oversight for high‑voltage (HT) and low‑voltage (BT) traction projects, ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, and quality targets until commissioning. Support the Market Manager in contractual and technical management, conduct VISA reviews of contractor deliverables, and monitor on‑site work execution. **Expectations** - Deliver engineering support for long‑term traction assignments across France. - Manage execution phases from design through commissioning, maintaining strict adherence to contractual obligations. - Be available to conduct on‑site inspections and sign‑offs as required. **Key Responsibilities** - Assist the Market Manager in technical and contractual steering of contractor teams. - Oversee cost control, schedule adherence, and quality assurance of traction system installations. - Review and approve execution documents during the VISA process. - Supervise on‑site work progress, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards. - Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project performance. **Required Skills** - Deep understanding of HT/BT traction systems, power electronics, and control‑command architecture. - Proficient in project management, cost control, and contract administration. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Experience with metro and/or tramway traction projects (highly desirable). - Familiarity with BIM/3D design tools and construction phases (asset). - Effective communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams. **Required Education & Certifications** - Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, or an equivalent generalist field. - Minimum 6 years of professional experience in high‑/low‑voltage traction engineering within industry, engineering firms, or construction companies. - Relevant certifications in electrical safety, traction systems, or project management are advantageous.
