**Job title:** IT Operations Engineer (m/f/d)
**Role Summary:**
Full‑stack IT Operations Engineer responsible for the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of cloud‑native collaboration and operational tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian suite, MDM). Drives secure, efficient user experiences, collaborates with IT Security on Zero Trust policies, and automates routine processes to support a scaling SaaS organization.
**Expectations:**
- Own end‑to‑end lifecycles of collaboration, identity, and asset management systems.
- Deliver proactive support that reduces ticket volume and improves user experience.
- Shape and enforce policies, automations, and workflows to align with business outcomes.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with security, product, and operations teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Manage and optimize Google Workspace (policy, groups, permissions, security settings).
2. Administer and govern Slack (workspace configuration, app policies, automations, troubleshooting).
3. Oversee Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) – workflow design, permission models, structure.
4. Implement MDM and device fleet management, ensuring compliance and security baseline.
5. Build and maintain automation pipelines using Zapier, Python, Bash, or other scripting tools.
6. Develop internal processes and knowledge bases to enable self‑service and reduce support load.
7. Partner with IT Security to embed Zero Trust principles across all tools and workflows.
8. Participate in incident response for tool outages or security incidents.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience in IT Operations within a SaaS‑first, cloud‑native environment.
- Deep expertise in Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and Confluence administration.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust, MDM, secure‑by‑default design.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Zapier).
- Excellent communication and teaching skills for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Hands‑on problem‑solving mindset, outcome‑driven approach.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Workspace Certified Admin, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, SOC2/ISO 27001 Auditor) are a plus but not mandatory.
