Job Title: Data Scientist II
Role Summary
Drive data‑driven decisions across e‑commerce, physical retail, and external data sources. Develop analytical models, create production‑ready code, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end data science projects: problem framing, model development, and deployment.
- Build predictive, prescriptive, and optimization models to solve business challenges.
- Write production‑ready code, integrate with ML engineering workflows, and create APIs for deployment.
- Monitor model performance, detect data drift, and implement remediation plans.
- Design metrics, dashboards, and visualizations to embed science into business processes.
- Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and present concise findings to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior analysts, provide feedback, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
Required Skills
- Programming: Python or R; experience with Spark, Scala, or similar frameworks.
- Machine learning: proficiency in scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent.
- Statistical analysis, feature engineering, data preprocessing.
- Production deployment: model serving, monitoring, data‑drift detection.
- Data visualization: Tableau, Power BI, or comparable tools.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder influence.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, or related field + ≥3 years data‑science experience; OR
- Master’s degree in the same disciplines + ≥1 year data‑science experience; OR
- Minimum 5 years analytics or data‑science role.
Preferred
- Master’s in Machine Learning, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or similar.
- Completed assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R; proven experience with open‑source ML frameworks.
