Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

**Job title:** Site Reliability Engineer **Role Summary:** Responsible for designing, implementing, and operating highly available, scalable, and resilient containerized services. Ensures proactive infrastructure management, continuous deployment pipelines, and robust observability across distributed systems, handling production incidents and streamlining operational excellence. **Expectations:** - Demonstrated production on‑call and incident‑response experience. - Proven ability to design, ship, and maintain large‑scale containerized applications. - Strong coding background in Python or Go (or similar). - Extensive experience with distributed Linux/Unix services and streaming platforms. - Knowledge of data pipeline scaling (up to ~10 k concurrent flows) and dashboard design. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain IaC using Terraform and Puppet. - Manage Kubernetes clusters (Helm, K8s) and orchestrate services with Spinnaker. - Implement and refine observability stack (Splunk, Prometheus). - Develop, test, and release micro‑services (Python/Go). - Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, performing root‑cause analysis. - Support and monitor streaming services (Kafka, Flink). - Design data pipelines at scale, ensuring efficient metrics and alerting. **Required Skills:** - Terraform, Puppet, Helm, Kubernetes, Spinnaker. - Splunk, Prometheus, and related monitoring tools. - Proficient in Python, Go (or comparable languages). - Deep understanding of Linux/Unix system administration. - Experience with distributed services and large‑scale data pipelines. - Strong incident‑management and on‑call skills. - Familiarity with Kafka and Flink streaming ecosystems. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Preferred certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate, AWS Systems Operations (SysOps) or equivalent.
