Job Description
Job title: Software Engineer Co‑op Role Summary: Full‑time, on‑site co‑op software engineering role focused on building a large‑scale data processing and analytics platform for shipment monitoring. Collaborate with agile teams to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot features across the stack. Expactations: • Work 3–5 days in‑office per week. • Available Jan–Jun, with flexible start/end dates. • Participate actively in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives. • Produce clean, maintainable code and thorough documentation. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement new features with senior engineers. • Write unit and integration tests; contribute to CI/CD pipelines. • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve defects. • Maintain high coding standards, version control, and code review rigor. • Collaborate with product owners, QA, and Customer Success to deliver customer‑validated solutions. Required Skills: • Strong abstraction and design thinking. • Proficient in server‑side languages (C#, Python). • Experience with front‑end HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript. • Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB). • Familiarity with data modeling and relational database design. • Comfortable working across distributed teams in different time zones. Bonus Skills: • AWS, DevOps, Docker/Kubernetes, big‑data streaming (Kinesis, Kafka). • Front‑end frameworks (Angular, React). • Agile (Scrum) experience. • Customer‑support exposure. Required Education & Certifications: • Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
