Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Shop Supervisor Role Summary Lead and coordinate the electrical department, overseeing project execution from planning through completion. Develop and enforce policies, manage schedules, resources, and budgets, and mentor the electrical team and apprentices to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Expectations - Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory codes. - Deliver projects on time and within budget while ensuring accurate documentation and manpower accounting. - Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development. - Communicate effectively with project management, engineering, and procurement. - Travel less than 10% of time; flexible working hours for project needs. Key Responsibilities - Review and approve electrical drawings and revisions prior to assembly. - Ensure assemblies meet product specifications and company quality standards. - Identify and resolve electrical issues, provide root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. - Record project tasks, man‑hour data, and employee reports for accurate reporting. - Maintain and control tools and materials inventory. - Plan, assign, and prioritize work to align with team skills and development goals. - Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and labor requirements; mitigate delays. - Liaise with procurement and other departments to secure timely delivery of parts and equipment. - Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and ISO standards. - Participate in project kick‑offs, milestone reviews, and budget monitoring. - Support non‑conformance tracking and management. - Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of new technologies.
