**Job Title**
OpenStack Expert IT Engineer (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Design, deploy, and administer OpenStack cloud environments (Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity, etc.). Automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or SaltStack. Integrate OpenStack with Kubernetes, Ceph, VMware, and other cloud solutions. Provide level‑3 technical support, create technical documentation, and train internal teams or clients.
**Expectations**
* Advanced expertise in OpenStack components and distributed storage systems.
* Strong experience in virtual networking (SDN, VXLAN, Open vSwitch).
* Proficiency with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
* In depth knowledge of Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) and scripting (Bash, Python).
* Familiarity with security best practices, high‑availability architectures, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Fluency in English; strong written and verbal communication.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Architect and deploy scalable OpenStack environments tailored to business requirements.
* Develop, maintain, and stream‑line automated deployment and configuration workflows using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or SaltStack.
* Integrate OpenStack services with Kubernetes, Ceph, VMware, and other cloud platforms.
* Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal users and external clients on OpenStack usage and best practices.
* Author and maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation, including installation guides, operational procedures, and troubleshooting manuals.
* Deliver level‑3 support: diagnose and resolve complex issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
* Monitor performance, optimize resources, and enforce security compliance across the OpenStack infrastructure.
* Collaborate with DevOps teams to incorporate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure as code.
* Manage source‑control repositories (Git) and maintain code quality standards.
**Required Skills**
* OpenStack: Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, Keystone, Glance, Horizon, Heat, Magnum.
* Distributed storage: Ceph, LVM, Glance.
* Virtual networking: SDN, VXLAN, Open vSwitch (OVS), firewalling, load balancing.
* Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (kubeadm, Helm).
* Automation & configuration: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, SaltStack.
* Linux system administration: Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS.
* Scripting: Bash, Python.
* Source control: Git, GitLab/Github.
* Security: IAM, SSL/TLS, PKI, secure key management.
* High‑availability & load‑balancing: HAProxy, Keepalived, Pacemaker.
* CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD.
* Agile/Scrum processes.
* English: professional fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree (BAC +5) in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Master’s program.
* Relevant certifications preferred: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), OpenStack Certified Administrator (OCA), or similar.
