**Job title**
Accounting Manager – Consolidations
**Role Summary**
Own the full consolidated financial close cycle, manage the consolidated general ledger, support external audits, and drive continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance with US GAAP, and scalability as the company grows.
**Expectations**
* 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public‑company or Big 4 environment.
* Proven track record managing consolidations and the complete close process.
* Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, full‑cycle close, SOX, and internal controls.
* CPA credential required.
* Experience in high‑growth, fast‑paced organizations with a builder mindset.
* Background in media/entertainment, consumer goods, or technology (public company experience preferred).
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
2. Own and maintain the consolidated general ledger, including chart of accounts, corporate transactions (leases, investments, stock‑based compensation), intercompany eliminations, and reconciliations.
3. Prepare, review, and analyze account reconciliations, balance‑sheet flux analyses, and other critical reconciliations.
4. Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation; support audit requests and coordinate with the Assistant Controller.
5. Identify, design, and implement process improvements to shorten the close cycle and increase scalability.
6. Support deployment and optimization of financial systems; maintain thorough documentation of accounting processes and internal controls.
7. Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of internal controls and compliance initiatives, including SOX.

**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
* CPA certification required; additional advanced certifications (e.g., CMA, CGMA) preferred.
* MBA or advanced finance degree a plus.
