**Job title**
Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and operation of cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Drive IaC, Kubernetes orchestration, GitOps practices, and security across multi‑cloud environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance for e‑commerce and microservices architectures.
**Expectations**
- Proven experience in IaC, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native tooling.
- Strong coding aptitude, rapid prototyping, and continuous learning mindset.
- Ability to own end‑to‑end delivery from architecture to deployment, including monitoring, security, and disaster recovery.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Version all infrastructure and application changes using IaC frameworks (Terraform, Helm, Argo CD).
- Orchestrate multi‑cluster Kubernetes deployments across public clouds, managing lifecycle, upgrades, and scaling.
- Architect and enforce GitOps pipelines, integrating automated tests, linting, and will as code.
- Implement monitoring (Prometheus, Datadog), logging, and alerting across services.
- Deploy and manage secret‑management solutions (HashiCorp Vault, disaster‑recovery flows).
- Modernize e‑commerce microservices stacks (Kafka, GKE, GitLab, Kustomize).
- Mentor and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on cloud strategy and best practices.
**Required Skills**
- IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
- Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, Kustomize.
- CI/CD & GitOps: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Flux.
- Cloud: AWS, GCP, Azure (public cloud services, networking, IAM).
- Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Loki.
- Security & Secrets: HashiCorp Vault, Secrets Management, SOC2 compliance.
- Scripting/Programming: Bash, Python, Go or equivalent.
- Infrastructure concepts: networking, load balancing, auto‑scaling, DR.
- Soft skills: Agile, team collaboration, clear documentation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, GCP Professional DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) preferred.
- Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKS) and Terraform (HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate) a plus.
