Job Title: Business Controller
Role Summary
Deliver a comprehensive financial oversight for an international precision‑engineering company, providing strategic and operational analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance to empower executive decision‑making.
Expectations
* Produce timely, accurate financial reports, analysis, and forecasts that align with corporate strategy.
* Maintain rigorous internal controls and implement continual process improvements.
* Communicate complex financial insights clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
* Ensure adherence to accounting standards, legal requirements, and group policies.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally on ERP configuration and financial information flows.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Financial Analysis & Reporting** – Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements; conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts; generate management commentary and insights.
2. **Budgeting & Forecasting** – Lead the full budgeting cycle: define procedures, gather departmental data, build multi‑year projections, and integrate forecasts into operating plans.
3. **Internal Controls & Compliance** – Design, enforce, and monitor procedures to safeguard assets, ensure accurate accounting, and meet statutory obligations.
4. **Operational Performance Optimization** – Identify process inefficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and track impact on profitability and cash flow.
5. **ERP & Information System Support** – Participate in ERP module design and configuration, set up dashboards, and govern financial data integrity.
6. **Stakeholder & Vendor Management** – Liaise with external auditors, bookkeeping services, and internal teams to maintain reliable financial systems and reporting cycles.
7. **Trend & Risk Analysis** – Monitor key financial indicators, forecast impacts of external events, and provide scenario analyses to leadership.
Required Skills
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
* Proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and reporting tools.
* Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS, budgeting, and internal control frameworks.
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and financial dashboards.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of explaining complex data to diverse audiences.
* French fluency (native or near‑native), English at least intermediate (B2).
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work collaboratively across functions.
Required Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s +3/5 years (BAC + 5) in Accounting, Finance, Business Control, or related discipline.
* Minimum two years of business‑control experience in an international or multi‑national environment.
* Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CGA) are advantageous but not mandatory.
