Job Description

**Job Title** Senior Data Engineer (Contract) **Role Summary** Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures on Google Cloud Platform to enable timely, reliable insights across the organization. **Expections** - Deliver end‑to‑end data solutions that scale and perform. - Automate data workflows and enforce governance, lineage, and observability. - Collaborate with analysts, product owners, and developers to meet business requirements. - Operate within agile, CI/CD‑driven development cycles. - Own technical design and troubleshoot production issues proactively. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and Python. - Build and optimize data models and infrastructure on GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer). - Create and manage batch and streaming data pipelines. - Apply infrastructure‑as‑code practices and CI/CD pipelines to data projects. - Ensure data quality, governance, and lineage compliance. - Enhance observability dashboards and automate key operational tasks. - Partner with cross‑functional teams to validate deliverables and refine requirements. **Required Skills** - Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python. - Deep knowledge of GCP core services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer. - Experience with full‑life‑cycle data engineering and automation. - Familiarity with batch and streaming data pipelines. - Competence in CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Deployment Manager) for data systems. - Strong communication, problem‑solving, and agile collaboration skills. - Proven ability to design and implement scalable, performant data solutions. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). - GCP Professional Data Engineer certification preferred.
