Job Title: Robotics Simulation Engineer
Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain realistic robotics simulation environments using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Omniverse, and complementary tools. Integrate CAD models, generate synthetic datasets, and implement auto‑annotation pipelines for computer vision training. Simulate multi‑sensor configurations and validate perception and motion planning algorithms before real‑world deployment. Collaborate with AI and robotics teams to model robotic tasks such as pick‑and‑place, navigation, and human‑robot interaction.
Expectations: 4‑6 years of professional experience in robotics or autonomous systems simulation. Proven proficiency with NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Omniverse, experience in CAD integration and synthetic data generation, and strong background in sensor‑based perception (camera, LiDAR, radar, depth). Demonstrated ability to build and maintain auto‑annotation pipelines, calibrate multi‑sensor setups, test kinematics and motion planning, and integrate hardware with control software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain simulation environments for robotics using NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Omniverse.
- Integrate CAD models and generate synthetic datasets for vision training.
- Develop auto‑annotation pipelines for object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
- Simulate multi‑sensor setups (camera, LiDAR, radar, depth) for perception validation.
- Support vision‑based algorithm testing in virtual environments prior to deployment.
- Model robotic tasks (pick‑and‑place, navigation, HRI) in collaboration with AI and robotics teams.
- Install, configure, and calibrate robotic arms, end‑effectors, cameras, and other sensors.
- Perform system calibration: camera, hand‑eye, sensor alignment; conduct inverse kinematics testing.
- Integrate hardware components with control software and perception systems.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Omniverse.
- Experience with ROS/ROS2, and optionally Gazebo, Unity, or similar simulation platforms.
- Proficiency in synthetic data generation and auto‑annotation pipeline development.
- Strong computer vision skills (PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV).
- Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, motion control, and inverse kinematics.
- Hardware‑software interfacing, sensor calibration, and system integration.
Required Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
