Job Title: Backend Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services and data pipelines for a cloud‑based physical security platform, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to expose and manage data, build scalable APIs, and enhance AI‑driven insights. Expectations: Deliver robust, secure, and scalable backend solutions; continuously optimize system performance; actively contribute to architectural direction; communicate progress and trade‑offs to stakeholders; adapt to agile workflows and changing requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Build and extend backend features using Spring, NoSQL, time‑series databases, and message queues. - Collaborate with UI and firmware teams to expose data and manage APIs. - Design, construct, and maintain real‑time event processing pipelines. - Monitor and tune system performance for scalability and efficiency. - Shape long‑term technology roadmap and architecture decisions. - Interface with AI components to improve security insights and automation. - Provide clear technical updates and trade‑off analyses to leadership and partners.
