Job Title: Principal Salesforce Developer
Role Summary:
Senior architectural and development leader responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud portals, and integrations for federal clients. Executes low‑code and custom Apex/Visualforce/LWC solutions, ensuring alignment with federal security standards (NIST, FISMA) and Business Analyst requirements.
Expactations:
- Deliver scalable, secure Salesforce implementations supporting case management, stakeholder portals, and workflow automation for government use.
- Lead technical design, code reviews, and documentation to satisfy ATO cybersecurity requirements.
- Mentor junior developers and coordinate with cross‑functional teams (Business Analysts, QA, DevOps) in Agile environments.
- Maintain up‑to‑date Salesforce certifications and comply with Public Trust eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop custom code (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components) and configure standard features (Flows, Communities, OmniStudio components).
- Implement and customize Public Sector Solutions and Experience Cloud, tailoring case management, engagement portals, and workflow processes.
- Design and maintain secure integrations with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or ETL tools.
- Plan, execute, and validate data migration from legacy sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Write clean, test‑covered code; perform code scans, regression testing, and remediate findings.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, gate review artifacts, and ATO compliance records.
- Support user training, provide technical insights, and facilitate adoption of Salesforce features.
- Participate in DevOps activities: packaging, deployment, CI/CD pipeline configuration, and performance monitoring.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years Salesforce development experience (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components).
- 4+ years dedicated to Salesforce Public Sector Solutions and standard framework components.
- Expertise in OmniStudio (FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataMappers, Integration Procedures).
- Proficiency with development tools (VS Code, Salesforce CLI, Workbench) and Agile tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration: Flows, Communities, custom objects, fields, validation rules, SSO, email relay, AppExchange management.
- Experience in REST/SOAP integrations, middleware, or ETL solutions.
- Familiarity with DevOps best practices: packaging, deployment, code scanning, regression testing.
- Experience delivering user training and creating technical documentation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; residency requirement of 3 years within last 5 years.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Active Salesforce Administrator Certification or Platform App Builder Certification.
- Salesforce Developer Certification (Platform Developer I or II).
