Data Scientist Intern (2026)
**Role Summary**
Internship in a BI & Big Data consulting team focused on designing, building, and delivering analytical solutions to client projects. Works under senior guidance on the entire data lifecycle: requirement gathering, system design, big‑data implementation, data visualization, and predictive modeling.
**Expectations**
- Join the team in 2026 for a 6–12‑month internship (full‑time).
- Develop hands‑on expertise in big‑data ecosystems, BI tools, and advanced analytics.
- Contribute to live client projects, delivering analysis, visual dashboards, and predictive models.
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing on emerging topics such as AI and machine learning.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, maintaining clear and concise communication.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Capture and translate business requirements into data‑engineering and analytics solutions.
- Design and implement BI and Big Data architectures (Data Lake, Hadoop, MapReduce, MongoDB).
- Build interactive dashboards with Power BI, Qlik, Tableau or code‑based visualisations (D3.js).
- Develop predictive models using R, Python, machine‑learning and deep‑learning libraries.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance throughout project deliverables.
- Present findings and insights to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Work closely with senior consultants, project managers, and client teams to meet deadlines.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in at least one BI tool (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau).
- Experience with big‑data technologies: Data Lake, Hadoop, MapReduce, MongoDB.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R; familiarity with SQL.
- Basic knowledge of machine‑learning frameworks (Scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Data‑visualisation expertise and storytelling ability.
- Analytical mindset, creativity, and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑changing, client‑facing environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Final‑year undergraduate or graduate (Bac+5) student in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- Relevant coursework or projects in analytics, big data, machine learning, and data warehousing.
