Job Description

**Job Title:** IT Security Intern – Year Round **Role Summary:** Support the corporate IT security team in vulnerability detection, incident response, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Work both part‑time during the academic year and full‑time during summer, contributing to team projects and learning cybersecurity fundamentals. **Expectations:** • Complete assigned security tasks accurately and on time. • Communicate progress and findings clearly to teammates and stakeholders. • Participate in mentorship, training, and professional development activities. • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage tickets, providing timely support and alert triaging for security incidents. - Assist in phishing simulation campaigns—craft emails, monitor responses, and analyze results. - Document security processes, update knowledge bases, and propose improvements. - Participate in continuous improvement projects (e.g., risk assessments, policy reviews). - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align security controls with business objectives. - Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System procedures. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Strong verbal and written communication. - Excellent interpersonal and relational skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple tasks. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in a two‑ or four‑year degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (sophomore level or higher). - Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. **Preferred Qualifications (not required):** - Bachelor’s degree in a related field. - One year of IT‑related experience.
