Job Description
**Job Title** Product Operations Manager **Role Summary** Oversee end‑to‑end product flow and visual merchandising for a specialty retail store, ensuring efficient inventory movement, high margin sales, and an engaging customer experience. Lead a cross‑functional team, drive operational excellence, and champion a safe, inclusive, and performance‑focused culture. **Expectations** - Deliver profitable product movement through the lifecycle. - Maintain visual merchandising excellence and data‑driven process improvements. - Foster a motivated, high‑performance team with clear goals and development focus. - Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and operational protocols. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage and develop the store’s operations team; set performance objectives, provide coaching, and conduct feedback. - Analyze sales performance and process scorecards; devise and implement action plans to close gaps. - Partner with visual merchandising, regional managers, and facilities teams to drive displays, changeovers, and promotional setups. - Own the door‑to‑floor and back‑of‑house processes, including markdowns and inventory handling. - Act as customer advocate: anticipate needs, address expectations, and integrate technology solutions. - Open/close the store, manage sales floor operations, and ensure effective customer service. - Lead the joint health & safety committee; enforce provincial H&S policies. - Promote a culture of diversity, continuous learning, and calculated risk‑taking. **Required Skills** - Proven leadership in specialty or multi‑unit retail operations. - Strong analytical ability with experience in sales data and KPI dashboards. - Exceptional communication and team‑building skills. - Proficiency in visual merchandising and visual design principles. - Ability to manage physical tasks (lifting up to 40 lb) and be mobile on‑floor. - Sound understanding of health & safety compliance. - Fluency in French and English (bilingual required for Quebec operations). **Required Education & Certifications** - College diploma or equivalent retail management experience (preferred). - Minimum of 2–3 years of management experience in specialty or multi‑unit retail. ---
