Job Description
**Job Title** Accounting Technician (14‑Month Contract) **Role Summary** Perform daily transactional accounting duties, prepare and reconcile client reporting packages, monitor trust accounts, and support finance team inquiries. Ensure accurate, timely information and high client satisfaction in a multilingual, collaborative environment. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate and timely accounting data. - Proactively resolve reporting and system issues. - Maintain strong client service and internal collaboration. - Manage workload peaks with effective time‑management. **Key Responsibilities** - Prepare and reconcile external client reporting packages. - Investigate and resolve discrepancies in client reports. - Respond to account‑management and finance‑team inquiries. - Monitor trust‑account balances and generate client funding requests. - Print and process claim cheques; track claim‑payment status. - Perform general ledger and balance‑sheet account analysis and reconciliation. - Produce ad‑hoc reports and support special accounting projects. - Manage information across multiple accounting systems. **Required Skills** - Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Effective teamwork and collaboration. - Adaptability to change and ability to manage competing priorities. **Required Education & Certifications** - College or university coursework in accounting (or equivalent). - 1–2 years of experience in an accounting environment preferred.
