**Job title:** DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Support hybrid cloud data pipelines by designing, securing, and maintaining Kafka‑PostgreSQL‑S3 workflows. Strengthen observability, manage role‑based access, validate OpenTelemetry data, and streamline CI/CD to deliver reliable, compliant infrastructure for sensitive client projects.
**Expactations:**
- Deliver secure, high‑availability data flows within hybrid cloud environments.
- Meet FedRAMP, HIPAA, and SOC‑2 compliance standards.
- Enable cross‑functional collaboration for seamless user onboarding and access control.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and maintain end‑to‑end Kafka‑PostgreSQL‑S3 architectures.
- Configure and enforce secure access controls across observability tools and platform roles.
- Test and validate OpenTelemetry telemetry for accuracy and security.
- Coordinate stakeholder provisioning and user setup, ensuring compliance.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and security teams to improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues, and maintain uptime of data pipelines.
- Integrate logs, metrics, and traces for full hybrid cloud visibility.
- Apply security best practices for data at rest and in transit.
- Document configurations, processes, and security controls for knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
- Enhance infrastructure and tooling to support scalability, performance, and future initiatives.
**Required Skills:**
- Expertise with Kafka, PostgreSQL, S3, and hybrid cloud data flows.
- Proven experience with OpenTelemetry and observability frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, role‑based access control, and compliance (FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC‑2).
- Hands‑on skills in containerized deployments (Docker, ECR, EKS, Fargate, AKS, GKE).
- Proficiency in CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible), and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and cross‑team collaboration abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- U.S. citizenship (required for designated client projects).
- Relevant certifications in cloud, DevOps, or security (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are desirable.
