**Job title:** Software Test Analyst
**Role Summary:**
Senior‑level test analyst responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive manual and automated test suites for web applications. Works within an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure quality across system integration, performance, API, ADA compliance, and post‑deployment validation.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 5 years of end‑to‑end test experience (manual and automation).
- Proficiency in testing tools, frameworks, and scripting languages (Java, Playwright/Selenium/Cypress).
- Ability to analyze requirements and user stories in Azure DevOps to craft reusable test cases.
- Independent, self‑driven with strong collaboration skills in a fast‑paced development team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases covering functional, regression, boundary, negative, and performance scenarios.
2. Create and maintain test plans, strategies, data sets, and metrics reports.
3. Perform API testing using Postman, REST Client, etc.
4. Conduct ADA compliance validation with AccVerify, JAWS, and related tools.
5. Implement performance/load tests with JMeter or LoadRunner.
6. Write object‑oriented Java test code, Gherkin scenarios, and step definitions.
7. Execute and author SQL/PLSQL queries for test data setup and validation against Oracle/SQL Server.
8. Track, document, and manage defects in Azure DevOps, ensuring clear communication to developers, BAs, and stakeholders.
9. Integrate testing activities into DEV, UAT, QAT, and PRE‑PROD environments.
10. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate cross‑functionally to refine requirements and test coverage.
**Required Skills:**
- Manual & automated testing (5+ yrs)
- Azure DevOps (requirement analysis, defect tracking, test module)
- Automation frameworks: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress (Java)
- Java OOP, Gherkin, Step Definition, TestNG framework
- SQL/PLSQL querying for data validation
- Git version control (branching, merges, pull requests)
- API test tools: Postman, REST Client
- Performance/load testing: JMeter, LoadRunner
- ADA testing tools: AccVerify, JAWS
- Understanding of secure application development lifecycle (SADLC)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Agile/Scrum process familiarity
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- No mandatory certifications, though ISTQB or equivalent is a plus.
