Job Description

**Job Title:** Thermal Test Technician **Role Summary:** Execute and support thermal vacuum testing operations in an aerospace commercial laboratory. Responsibilities include test set‑up, instrumentation maintenance, data capture and analysis, report preparation, and audit participation. The role requires independent work, flexibility for occasional overtime, and ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders. **Expectations:** - Deliver test activities on time, within budget, and to specification. - Provide clear, accurate documentation and certification reports. - Maintain high standards of safety and quality compliance. - Support internal and external audit processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assemble and configure mechanical test rigs for thermal vacuum tests. - Operate and monitor test instrumentation throughout execution. - Collect, review, and analyze post‑test data. - Compile detailed test reports and certification documentation. - Perform routine daily and monthly maintenance and calibration tasks. - Conduct audit preparations and support audit activities. - Liaise with project teams and customers regarding test progress and outcomes. **Required Skills:** - Solid knowledge of thermal vacuum test techniques and mechanical processes. - Hands‑on experience assembling test rigs and interpreting technical documentation. - Ability to work independently and adapt to flexible working hours. - Strong data analysis and report writing abilities. - Proficiency in maintaining laboratory equipment and instrumentation. **Desirable Skills:** - Experience with bespoke test facilities and custom tooling design. - Audit support experience (internal and external). - Customer liaison and project coordination. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering, Science, or a related field. - Relevant aerospace or testing certifications (e.g., QA/QC, ISO 9001) preferred. ---
