**Job Title**
Product Manager – New Product Development
**Role Summary**
Lead the end‑to‑end New Product Development (NPD) process for the portfolio, coordinating cross‑functional teams across engineering, design, procurement, finance, sales, and quality to deliver compliant, market‑ready products on time and within budget. Own the Stage Gate cycle, product specifications, pricing, packaging, and competitive positioning while driving continuous improvement and mentorship of junior product staff.
**Expectations**
- Deliver the NPD roadmap and ensure all projects meet Stage Gate and regulatory milestones (WRAS, TMV2/3).
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with finance, procurement, design engineering, validation, supplier quality, and sales to achieve commercial objectives.
- Use data and insights to inform decisions, assess opportunities, and report performance to stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop an Assistant Product Manager, supporting their integration into the portfolio roadmap.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Own NPD project delivery, including RRP, product specifications, forecast, packaging, and lifecycle management.
- Prepare and present accurate Stage Gate decks in collaboration with Product Strategy.
- Manage product accreditation, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation throughout development.
- Lead Voice of the Customer initiatives and channel support to ensure customer‑centric solutions.
- Analyse category performance, identify gaps, propose architectural solutions, and recommend VAVE opportunities.
- Compile product information, discontinuation plans, and change requests for marketing and internal teams.
- Conduct data‑driven analyses with Insights, Finance, and Customer Experience to support proposals.
**Required Skills**
- Proven product management experience in NPD or related field.
- Strong project management and Stage Gate expertise.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Market trend analysis and competitive positioning skills.
- Regulatory knowledge (WRAS, TMV2/3) and risk management.
- Advanced communication, presentation, and documentation abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and product lifecycle management software.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
- Product management certification (e.g., Certified Product Manager, Pragmatic Institute, or equivalent) preferred.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
