**Job Title** Business Unit Director **Role Summary** Lead a medium‑sized energy distribution business unit focused on diesel, fuels, lubricants and specialty products. Own the full profit & loss, drive commercial growth, modernise operations, and embed sustainable practices within a regional market. **Expectations** - Deliver measurable financial performance and strategic growth within the existing portfolio and new energy segments. - Demonstrate entrepreneurial leadership, balancing vision with hands‑on execution. - Cultivate a high‑performance team culture and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. **Key Responsibilities** - Define and execute the regional growth strategy, target profitability, and market share goals. - Manage the complete P&L, budgeting, and financial controls. - Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities (alternative fuels, service offerings, partnerships). - Recruit, train, and develop field teams; foster a client‑centric, safety‑first culture. - Lead commercial account management, enhance brand visibility, and secure large enterprise contracts. - Drive organisational change: process optimisation, digitalisation, and lean practices. - Integrate transition‑energy initiatives, forecast market trends, and recommend service innovations. **Required Skills** - Strategic planning & execution; business acumen in P&L and profitability. - Operational management of field teams in energy, logistics, or B2B trading. - Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder engagement. - Change‑management and continuous improvement mindset. - Proficiency in digital tools and data‑driven decision making. - Leadership with charisma, integrity, and the ability to inspire cross‑functional teams. - Adaptability to evolving energy market dynamics. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or Energy Management (equivalent). - Minimum 5–8 years of senior management experience in profit‑center leadership, site or commercial operations within the energy or logistics sector. - Proven track record of P&L ownership and operational leadership.
