**Job Title**: AWS Cloud Engineer (DevOps/Automation/Terraform)
**Role Summary**: Lead engineer responsible for planning, deploying, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, Salt, CloudFormation). Build and sustain scalable, highly available environments, develop CI/CD pipelines, and provide 4th‑line support and client advisory services.
**Expectations**:
- 8+ years in mission‑critical, customer‑focused environments.
- 3+ years designing/supporting production AWS solutions.
- Proficiency in Linux (RHCE preferred) and basic Windows knowledge.
- Current AWS Associate, Professional, and at least one Specialty certification.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead large or complex client deployment and product engineering projects.
- Advise pre‑sales architects on AWS architecture.
- Design, implement, and manage Terraform & Salt deployments.
- Configure AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront, WAF, etc.).
- Create and maintain machine images and centralized configuration.
- Ensure high availability, proactive monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for 24/7 support.
- Mentor new team members and drive process improvement via Kanban.
**Required Skills**:
- Terraform, Salt, CloudFormation, Ansible (preferred).
- Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash, Perl.
- Git version control.
- Container orchestration: ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker.
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins or equivalent.
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP).
- ITIL process familiarity.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in computing or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Current AWS certifications: Associate, Professional, and one Specialty (e.g., Security, Networking).
