**Job Title:**
DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, automation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision resources, implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and manage Linux-based systems. Deliver efficient, reproducible workflows and troubleshoot complex environments.
**Expectations:**
- 14+ years of experience in DevOps, system engineering, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated mastery of IaC platforms (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Extensive knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Proficient in Linux system administration and configuration.
- Strong problem‑solving skills in multi‑layered production environments.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Architect and implement IaC solutions for on‑premise and cloud resources.
2. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for code integration, testing, and deployment.
3. Manage and optimize Linux servers, containers, and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
4. Collaborate with development teams to define and enforce DevOps best practices.
5. Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and security incidents across the infrastructure stack.
6. Continuously improve automation scripts, monitoring, and alerting setups.
7. Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge of tools, processes, and methodologies.
**Required Skills:**
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar.
- CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions.
- Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL) – configuration, scripting, and security hardening.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) – hands‑on experience with VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, etc.
- Scripting languages: Bash, Python, or Go.
- Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or equivalent.
- Source control: Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Relevant industry certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Docker Certified Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
