Job Title: Systems and Network Engineer / Administrator (Expert)
Role Summary:
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of complex, mission‑critical virtualized and Microsoft‑based IT infrastructures for SME clients. Conduct architecture audits, optimize performance, enforce security, and manage advanced incident response while collaborating across network, security, and development teams to deliver seamless IT services.
Expectations:
- Minimum 8 years of systems and network administration experience.
- Proven expertise in managing virtualized environments (VMware ESXi/vSphere, Hyper‑V) and Microsoft Server platforms (2016‑2025).
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and proactive incident‑resolution skills.
- Excellent organization, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Initiative to propose and implement security and performance enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform architecture analysis, audits, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Deploy, configure, and optimise VMware ESXi/vSphere and Hyper‑V clusters for high availability.
- Administer Windows Server 2016‑2025 environments, Active Directory, GPO, patching, and security hardening.
- Design and maintain VLAN, QoS, routing, firewall, VPN, and cloud integration solutions.
- Configure and sustain Office 365/Exchange mailbox, collaboration, and continuity services.
- Manage advanced N2/N3 incidents and coordinate with cross‑team stakeholders.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvements.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation (configuration packages, procedures, diagrams).
Required Skills:
- Virtualization: VMware ESXi/vSphere, Hyper‑V, clustering, high‑availability.
- Operating Systems: Windows Server 2016‑2025, Active Directory, Group Policy, patch management.
- Networking: VLAN, QoS, routing, firewall, VPN, cloud networking.
- Collaboration: Microsoft 365/Office 365, Exchange, mailbox administration.
- Security: firewall, segmentation, incident response, documentation.
- Tools: PowerShell, monitoring solutions, documentation platforms.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator, or equivalent.
