**Job Title**
Director, DevOps
**Role Summary**
Lead and evolve the DevOps practice, establishing vision, strategy, and operational excellence. Drive modernization of delivery pipelines, platform reliability, and intelligent automation across cloud-native environments, while integrating security and cost‑efficiency into all DevOps activities.
**Expectations**
- Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and coaching to high‑performing DevOps/SRE teams.
- Champion culture of collaboration, continuous learning, experimentation, and AI‑driven automation.
- Own secure, scalable deployment and operations across AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Integrate security best practices and regulatory compliance into the DevOps lifecycle.
- Optimize resources, reduce waste, and track DevOps KPIs to fuel improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define and execute the DevOps vision and roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Oversee end‑to‑end CI/CD pipeline design, IaC, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.
- Identify and implement AI/ML‑enabled monitoring, predictive scaling, and incident response solutions.
- Establish and enforce security policies, threat‑modeling, and compliance controls across all stages of the SDLC.
- Lead cross‑functional teams (development, operations, security, product) to accelerate delivery cycles.
- Monitor, report, and act on DevOps KPIs, cost metrics, and performance indicators.
- Evaluate emerging tools, frameworks, and cloud services; recommend adoption to sustain competitive advantage.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and talent acquisition for the DevOps organization.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years of leadership in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles, continuous delivery, IaC, and containerization.
- Expertise with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), configuration management (Ansible, Chef), container runtimes (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong background in AWS, Azure, and GCP architecture, cost optimization, and secure deployment.
- Proven ability to apply AI‑driven automation for monitoring, scaling, or incident handling.
- Experience defining, measuring, and improving DevOps KPIs.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as AWS/Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent.
