**Job Title**
Risk Rules IT Team Manager
**Role Summary**
Lead a small team responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving business rules within a rules‑engine platform. Act as the bridge between risk, collections, compliance, product, and IT/data functions to ensure credit‑granting rules are accurate, compliant, and performant.
**Expectations**
- Manage a team of 2–3 full‑time staff and 1–2 interns.
- Translate risk, compliance, credit and distribution business requirements into enforceable rules.
- Maintain technical ownership of rule implementation, integration, and lifecycle management.
- Deliver high‑quality, regulatory‑compliant rule sets and ensure continuous improvement of the rules engine.
- Provide clear, data‑driven reporting to stakeholders and proactively adjust strategy to evolving risk trends.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, coach, and prioritize the rule‑engineering team (organization, skill development, workload balancing).
- Convert business objectives into technically implementable rules for the engine.
- Oversee rule integration, configuration, maintenance, and testing within the engine.
- Ensure all rules meet credit‑policy and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with business, IT, and data teams on rule design, testing, release, and performance monitoring.
- Shape the rules‑engine strategy (innovation, automation, process optimisation).
- Track key performance indicators, generate regular reports, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
**Required Skills**
- Proven managerial experience (team leadership, project oversight).
- Strong analytical, logical, and detail‑oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with rules‑engine technology, APIs, and digital solutions (technical aptitude a plus).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Capacity for innovation, active listening, and proactive problem solving.
- Ability to anticipate and respond to dynamic credit‑risk environments.
- Proficiency in technical English (preferred).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in IT project management, risk management, or rules‑engine technologies are advantageous.
