Job Description
**Job title:** IT & Security Intern **Role Summary:** Support the IT & Security team by providing first‑line technical assistance, managing support tickets, investigating security alerts, remediating endpoint vulnerabilities, and aiding identity & access initiatives. Contribute to cybersecurity awareness programs and promote secure practices among employees. **Expectations:** - Deliver timely, professional IT support and follow documented procedures. - Handle multiple tasks independently while maintaining accurate documentation. - Communicate clearly with non‑technical staff and manage sensitive information discreetly. **Key Responsibilities:** - Triaging & resolving IT support tickets; escalating as required. - Troubleshooting device and access issues for end‑users. - Reviewing security alerts from internal tools and external SOC; performing initial investigations. - Coordinating endpoint security updates, vulnerability remediation, and compliance tracking. - Assisting with application inventory, SSO enablement, and other identity/access improvements. - Supporting cybersecurity awareness initiatives through coordination, communication, and program tracking. **Required Skills:** - Technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving. - Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems. - Basic understanding of endpoint security and identity/access concepts. - Strong written and verbal communication. - Organizational & detail‑oriented. - Proactive, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. - No specific certifications required; knowledge of security tools and IT operations preferred.
