**Job title:** Operations Intern **Role summary:** Support day‑to‑day operational functions within a life‑insurance and annuities organization, focusing on policy administration, data management, and process improvement. Collaborate across underwriting, claims, and customer service to streamline workflows and maintain compliance documentation. **Expectations:** • Deliver accurate and timely operational support. • Identify and propose efficiency enhancements. • Participate in cross‑departmental projects and special initiatives. • Maintain high standards of data integrity and customer service. **Key responsibilities:** 1. Assist policy administration, data entry, and customer‑record maintenance. 2. Conduct basic data analysis and generate operational reports. 3. Prepare and update manuals, audit documents, and compliance records. 4. Coordinate with underwriting, claims, and customer service to resolve operational issues. 5. Support back‑office customer inquiries and issue resolution. 6. Contribute to special projects (research, strategy, new initiatives). 7. Maintain and improve workflow processes and implement new systems as directed. **Required skills:** • Strong analytical and Excel skills. • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and basic Bloomberg use. • Excellent written and verbal communication. • Organizational aptitude, self‑motivation, and teamwork. • Quick learner, capable of working in a fast‑paced environment. • Basic financial and accounting knowledge. **Required education & certifications:** • Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a solid academic record. • No specific certifications required; certifications in data analysis, Lean Six Sigma, or related operational disciplines are a plus.
