Job Description
Job Title: Director of Urban Hydraulics Projects Role Summary: Lead and manage upstream studies for large-scale potable, stormwater, and sanitation networks across the Grand Ouest region. Own project delivery, quality, cost, and timeline, while driving commercial development and team skill enhancement. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality hydraulic diagnostics and master plans; maintain project schedules and budgets; contribute to business growth through technical and financial positioning of tenders; mentor and develop regional engineering teams; uphold best practices and advance R&D initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams of engineers and specialists; schedule and monitor deliveries. - Oversee the full life cycle of upstream studies: diagnostics, design schematics, and technical validation. - Ensure compliance with QCD (Quality, Cost, Deadline) standards; conduct reviews and approvals. - Provide technical and financial input for award‑winning tender responses. - Drive regional activity growth, including service offering expansion and client relationship maintenance. - Champion knowledge sharing, process improvements, and internal innovation projects. Required Skills: - Project leadership with proven ability to manage complex engineering deliverables. - Expertise in urban water hydraulics, including potable water, stormwater, and sanitary sewer design. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities; proficiency in hydraulic modelling software. - Effective communication, stakeholder management, and client‑facing presentation skills. - Commercial acumen: ability to assess and propose cost‑effective technical solutions. - Team‑building and mentorship, fostering continuous learning and performance. Required Education & Certifications: - Master’s level or higher in Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resources, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering (e.g., INP, ENGEES, or equivalent international institution). - Professional engineering registration or equivalent certification preferred.
