Job Description
**Job title** Security Controller Lead **Role Summary** Lead the development, implementation, and day‑to‑day management of personnel security culture and processes across multiple TADE UK sites. Oversee compliance with national legislation and IPSA standards, coordinate National Security Vetting (NSV) aftercare, and ensure seamless integration with HR and welfare systems. Travel required between company sites. **Expectations** - Deliver compliant personnel security programs that meet government and contractual standards. - Maintain up‑to‑date risk registers and mitigation plans. - Coordinate aftercare activities for NSV staff and sponsor accounts efficiently. - Act as point of contact for vetting and security inspections. - Ensure alignment of security policies with HR and welfare frameworks. **Key Responsibilities** - Establish and oversee personnel security approach across sites. - Ensure compliance with legislation and IPSA principles. - Facilitate government/contracting authority inspections and provide required documentation. - Interpret, implement, and monitor security controls for NSV staff (employed or sub‑contracted). - Negotiate and verify controls with networked companies for vetting sponsor responsibilities. - Own and maintain personnel security risk register: identify, document, track, mitigate, monitor risks. - Promote coherent policy and practice across stakeholders. - Ensure personnel security integrates with HR and welfare policies. - Manage pre‑vetting BPSS checks and subsequent SC & DV vetting processes. - Grant and monitor UKSV access for oversight of vetting processes. - Log and report changes in individuals’ circumstances affecting clearances. - Advise on personnel security controls for new bids and contracts. - Prepare and implement personnel security instructions and policies; liaise with HR to embed them organization‑wide. - Provide briefings for SC and DV cleared staff travelling abroad. **Required Skills** - Expertise in UK personnel security legislation, NRAs, UKSV, BPSS, SC, and DV processes. - Strong knowledge of IPSA standards and inspection readiness. - Risk management: identification, documentation, mitigation, and monitoring. - Ability to liaise across departments (HR, welfare, security) and manage stakeholder expectations. - Excellent communication, documentation, and policy implementation skills. - Project management and travel flexibility across multiple sites. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum tertiary qualification in security, risk management or related field. - Professional certification in personnel security or risk (e.g., CISM, CISSP, or equivalent) highly desirable. ---
