Job Description
**Job Title:** Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) **Role Summary:** Design, implement, and maintain secure Azure Government environments for Windows and Linux workloads. Administer user and service accounts, enforce least‑privilege access, automate provisioning and configuration, and ensure compliance with DoD security frameworks (DISA STIGs, 8570.01M). Oversee monitoring, performance, backup, and disaster‑recovery for mission‑critical systems while collaborating with Agile teams and federal stakeholders. **Expectations:** - 10+ years of senior system administration experience. - Secret clearance required; ability to maintain or obtain clearance. - Strong background in Azure Government services, database architecture, and data migration. - Proven ability to work independently, remotely, and in Agile/Scrum environments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provision, configure, and patch Windows/Linux VMs in Azure Government. - Manage Azure AD and on‑prem AD integration for identity and MFA. - Apply DISA STIG hardening, monitor compliance, and remediate vulnerabilities. - Automate routine tasks with Ansible and PowerShell scripts. - Monitor system performance via Azure Monitor, custom scripts, and event logs; respond to alerts and conduct root‑cause analysis. - Maintain backups, validate restore procedures, and support COOP/disaster recovery. - Evaluate and recommend DBMS solutions; oversee database architecture and migrations across platforms. - Document infrastructure changes, maintain diagrams (e.g., MS Visio), and produce SOC‑ready reports. **Required Skills:** - Azure Government: Azure AD, Azure Monitor, Azure VM/Networking. - Scripting: PowerShell, Ansible, Bash. - Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux (Red Hat/CentOS). - Security: DISA STIG compliance, least‑privilege access, MFA, patch management. - Monitoring & Logging: Azure Monitor, custom scripts, log analysis. - Backup & DR: Azure Backup, restore testing, COOP. - Databases: Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Developer, MSSQL, RDBMS modeling, data warehousing. - Web technologies: HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON. - Tools: MS Visio, Git, Agile/Scrum tools. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred). - 10+ years of relevant experience; 5+ years in database/data management. - Security+ certification. - DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II requirements. - Current Secret clearance.
