**Job Title:** Windows Server Engineer (Terraform, CICD, Kubernetes)
**Role Summary:**
Senior Windows Server Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining hybrid on‑prem and AWS Windows Server environments (2016‑2022). Lead automation of infrastructure through IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Packer) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins). Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization, administer Windows Server, PowerShell scripting, and support security hardening and patching. Exemplify reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 7 years of enterprise Windows Server engineering experience, 2‑3 years in hybrid on‑prem + AWS environments.
- Proven track record of building automated, secure infrastructure pipelines.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex OS, application, and networking issues.
- Strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, modernization, and container platform awareness.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer, optimize, and monitor Windows Server 2016‑2022 across on‑prem and AWS.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for server builds, AMI creation, and golden images using Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Packer.
- Provision, patch, and automate infrastructure tasks to reduce manual effort.
- Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi hosts, vCenter, and related virtualization concepts.
- Oversee AWS infrastructure (EC2, networking, hybrid integrations).
- Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and patch management.
- Participate in infrastructure modernization, including container platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Provide scripting (PowerShell, Python/Bash) to automate operational tasks.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and fundamental networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, load balancers).
**Required Skills:**
- Expert Windows Server administration (2016‑2022).
- Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter.
- Proficiency in AWS EC2, networking, and hybrid setups.
- Strong IaC and automation: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Packer.
- PowerShell scripting; Python or Bash scripting advantageous.
- Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, load balancers).
- Security patching, hardening, vulnerability remediation.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) welcomed.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals or Azure or AWS Systems Administrator; VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent.
