Job Title: ServiceNow Data Analyst
Role Summary:
Data analysis, reporting, and governance within ServiceNow to deliver actionable insights, optimize workflows, and maintain data integrity for financial services operations.
Expectations:
Deliver clean, validated data, dynamic dashboards, and process recommendations; translate business requirements into functional specifications; support change management and training; maintain CMDB accuracy and ServiceNow governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract, cleanse, and analyze ServiceNow and external data sources.
- Identify KPIs, trends, and actionable insights to improve IT service delivery.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports for operational and executive audiences using ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Gather, document, and validate functional and technical requirements; develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scripts.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation; implement data governance best practices.
- Support CMDB data accuracy through cleanup, normalization, and quality checks.
- Model business processes and map them to ServiceNow workflows, providing optimization recommendations.
- Collaborate with developers, administrators, and stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs; support UAT and change management documentation.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer on data practices within ServiceNow.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools: SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau.
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow, especially CMDB and Performance Analytics modules.
- Understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodologies (plus).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (or equivalent), ServiceNow Certified Reporting Specialist, and/or ServiceNow Certified Data Management.
