Job Title: Salesforce Administrator
Role Summary: Senior-level Salesforce systems administrator responsible for the design, configuration, and production support of the HHSC Grants Management System Salesforce org and its environments. Oversees application health, user management, data integrity, security, and backup processes while serving as subject‑matter expert on Salesforce security assessments and roadmap execution.
Expactations: Deliver reliable, secure, and compliant Salesforce operations; proactively improve processes and configurations; maintain accurate documentation; provide timely end‑user support; participate in roadmap and security review initiatives; work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support the HHSC Grants Management System Salesforce org across all environments.
- Monitor application health, troubleshoot incidents, and implement solutions to end‑user issues.
- Configure and maintain org settings, data models, security controls, user profiles, permission sets, groups, and queues.
- Manage data and metadata backups; ensure backup completion and recovery readiness.
- Create, update, and maintain reports, dashboards, and documentation.
- Execute production deployments and coordinate releases.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert for Salesforce security assessment reviews.
- Participate in team meetings, provide recommendations for process improvements, and support application roadmap strategies.
Required Skills:
- Advanced Salesforce configuration, administration, and support expertise.
- Proficiency in user and data management, security, and backup procedures.
- Strong problem‑solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.).
- Competence with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and deliver results with limited supervision.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (preferred).
- Additional Salesforce certifications (Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder) considered a plus.
